Hey there! It’s Millie here, and I’m excited to share with you my coffee journey!

My name is Millie Pham, and I’ve been absolutely obsessed with coffee for as long as I can remember. But my journey with my favorite caffeinated beverage didn’t start out so lovingly.

It all began when I turned 17 years old. To celebrate my birthday that year, my father surprised me with a small drip coffee maker. I still remember unwrapping the shiny new Mr. Coffee machine and wondering what on earth I would do with it. Being a typical teenager, I lived on soda and energy drinks and saw coffee as a “grown-up drink.”

My dad urged me to give it a try, insisting I add plenty of sugar and cream. I reluctantly made my first cup of coffee, doctored up with so much cream and sugar it barely resembled the bitter drink I expected. But as I took my first sip, I was surprised to discover I actually liked it! The sweet, creamy, warm drink was comforting on a cold winter morning.

From then on, I began experimenting with my new coffee maker. I tried different roasts and flavors of coffee beans, finally discovering a light roast Guatemalan coffee as my favorite. I learned how grinding the beans fresh made a world of difference in taste. My cream and sugar additions lessened over time as I came to appreciate the natural flavors of black coffee.

On weekends, my dad and I would visit local coffee shops together to sample espressos, lattes, and other specialty drinks. We’d discuss the different flavors and roasting techniques for hours. It became our shared hobby and a way to bond.

When it came time to choose a college, I purposely sought out schools with highly ranked academic coffee programs. I joined coffee clubs and frequented local cafes near campus. After graduation, I traveled internationally to several coffee farms and warehouses to learn even more about my passion.

Now, I am thrilled to share my love and extensive knowledge of coffee through my new website. It covers everything from coffee bean basics to brewing techniques to espresso machine recommendations. The site also features coffee-inspired recipes, local coffee shop guides, and more.

My once lukewarm impression of coffee has grown into a heartfelt passion. That first coffee maker from my dad sparked an interest that has enriched my life and career over the past decade. I can’t wait to continue sharing my coffee obsession with fellow bean lovers for years to come!

Millie Pham is a self-proclaimed coffee enthusiast. Her interest in the drink began early, thanks to her father’s daily morning ritual. Since then, coffee has become Millie’s cozy comfort – her perfect start to each day.

Over the years, Millie has eagerly expanded her coffee knowledge. She loves learning about different beans, roasts, brewing techniques, and more. While she doesn’t consider herself an expert, her curiosity about coffee is never-ending.

Millie especially enjoys discovering new cafes and coffee shops wherever she travels. Testing new flavors and blends brings her joy. She prefers to keep her coffee experience casual and experimental without getting caught up in technical details
